Booking.com don't even refund in the event of death

A friend of mine made several bookings for two through Booking.com for a little holiday in and around the Kruger Park for some nights in July last year. Sadly, he died before he could take that holiday. The bookings were cancelled in time, but it took me, as executor of his estate, many months to get the necessary documents so that the refunds could be processed. The first booking was at Jock Safari Lodge, ref ***. I have been in touch with them, and they claim they approved the refund and I should get it from Booking.com. My friend also booked at Sabie River bush Lodge for 2 July, ref ***, and at Graskop Hotel on 3 July, ref ***. I attached the Death Certificate, and my Letter of Authority as Executor of the estate. I told Customer Service at Booking.com, both by email and in a telephone call the account into which to pay the refunds. I have never had a reply to several emails, nor a call back. And, needless to say, no refunds.
