BOOKING.COM

I made a reservation through Booking.com with the Mitford hotel for the 19th of April as I had a wedding to attend (Easter Weekend). All was confirmed by Booking.com and payment was made. On the 18th I received a call from the Mitford Hotel to inform me that my booking was not confirmed and that they did not have a room for me. Booking were aware that they did not take single night reservations over Easter and there was an issue with their system. To try to get hold of Booking.com over Easter was impossible and almost impossible at any other time. I have subsequently heard that booking.com are notorious for this. I will not be using them again.
