BOOKING.COM CON ARTISTS

I recently made a reservation through Booking.com and had to cancel it but the payment already went off my account/debit card (First National Bank) for the amount of R11 000.0 and have been informed by both parties (Booking.com and the establishment SACO Apartments) that they are UNABLE TO ASSIST IN REFUNDING ME - i must contact my bank. I will NEVER EVER USE BOOKING.COM EVER AGAIN.
