booking.com and how they refuse to refund our money after they cancelled on us

I am absolutely astounded with the way in which booking.com has gone about with myself and a group of my friends. We booked accommodation through this webpage and after we had paid the amount they cancelled the booking on us and never rep**** to our many many emails that we have sent them about getting our money back. Such low standards of business and way of dealing with their mishaps and I can assure that myself and a huge amount of my community around me will never use this company ever again due to their revolting way of dealing with us.
