Beyond unreasonable

I had booked Hotel Du Pont in Southen France for the 29th of June 2020 and as their is a world wide pandemic and South Africa's borders are closed it would make common sense that no one from South Africa would be travelling for leisure. Patrick from the Hotel Du Pont called me on the 29th of June to ask when we were arriving, I explained that all international travel from South Africa was banned, he responded to say how was he to know where we came from, this despite my details being on my booking and he called me on my RSA number. He was extremely rude and charged me anyhow, I have sent a complaint to booking.com and not even received an automatic response of my mail. Shame on you booking.com and Patrick if we are able to travel next year as we have a credit for our barge booing you can bet a 1M Euro I will make a special stop to visit you and you can meet a ****ed of South African face to face!
