BE very aware of bookings.com

I made a booking at accommodation venue (Manhattan Properties) in Plettenberg Bay for December 2026 for 6 nights. the booking was for a large house in a complex able to accept 9 persons. Not an easy find for December. The booking was accepted and the full amount was paid. A month later they just cancelled my booking saying they should not have accepted it as they need a 14 night stay minimum. Absolutely shocking that I now have to try and find accommodation again for a very difficult time of the year. The accommodation (Manhattan properties) offered to help me try find something else - but obviously nothing has come of that. I have friends from the UK visiting and now I'm left with the problem. and of course there is no way to get hold of bookings.com
