@@La Ballito on Booking.com

I booked a 3 day stay at a Ballito property called @@La Ballito for this past weekend. I was required to pay the booking fee upfront, as well as a R1500 security deposit. Not only did I not receive the keys to the apartment on the day of check-in, I have not received my deposit back either. The properties on Booking.com are not all legitimate. I was also not able to get hold of the property owner, and the agent with whom I have been dealing is not responding to my texts or calls. Booking.com customer service has agreed to a refund of the booking fee within 15 business days, but not the security deposit. It looks like I have been ****med on the platform, and I need to warn all customers of Booking.com to be careful, specifically of the property called @@La Ballito, with a Precious Mkhize as the contact person. She will give you the run around and then turn her phone off leaving you stranded at a service station in Ballito in the evening of check-in.
