Accomodation rip-off

We placed a booking for accommodation at Simple Studios Sea point where bookings.com showed the price of accommodation as R1038 for 1 nights stay, only to pay and receive a payment confirmation for an additional R780 for 1 night cleaning service. Firstly the price of cleaning service is a rip-off!!! After calling booking.com and requesting a cancellation with a full refund we were told that the charge for cancellation was R1059 and we would only be refunded R780. This is ridiculous and poor business practice. The total for the accommodation should have been disclosed properly prior to the site requesting bank card details. We are outraged by the costs and support we received from both the accommodation and bookings.com itself.
