A Tragedy

I booked a stay for three nights at 'At Home BnB' via Booking.com. The stay could not be confirmed until I pay the total fee, which I did, and immediately, it said, "Non-regundable". Sceondly, what I found strange was the check-in time being "16H00". Nevertheless, I went to the address, which was in fact in a shady area. When we arrived there, we found a lady with a little child sleeping in the room, and they were surprised when they saw us. Moreover, the room was untidy and not what was advertised in the website, the bathroom was to be shared- it was very unhygienic, so was the kitchen that also had to be shared with everyone that lives in the house. All this was not advertised. When I contacted the owner, he was very arrogant and told me I can cancel but I will not get any money back. Me and my ten year old kid had to drive around the unfami**** and unsafe surroundings in Cape Town searching for a last minutes place to sleep because the one we paid for was not inhabitable. I did not get a cent back. This was tragic for me and I'm not sure if I will be able to trust booking.com again.
