A big ****

Arrived at the destination - the host indicated that she doesn't have the booking, however accommodated us seeing that we drove 5 hours to get to the destination. She said she will see to it on Tuesday - however, the host contacted me and said she didn't receive the booking and we owe her the money. I paid as we did spend the night there. However, trying to now get the refund from bookings.com. They said I should speak to the host for the refund, however, the host doesn't have the booking nor the payment from bookings.com. After investigation the email address and cell number of the host is not the same as what is on the booking. Bookings.com is busy with ****s. I will not be doing any other bookings through this platform as they seem to be getting away with taking everyone's money (looking at the reviews here).
