105 Odyssey Luxury Apartments - ***

Worst experience ever! I’d never recommend anyone to stay at 105 Odyssey. It’s not worth it! We booked 105 Odyssey Luxury Apartments to stay from 27th December till 2nd January 2022. Worst experience ever and we are stuck in this horrible apartment since most places around Cape Town are unavailable at this time and we booked way in advance to secure Accomodation for our trip to Cape Town!

-check in took us close to an hour as reception couldn’t find the keys. It was already at around 11pm. -upon entering our apartment, it was terribly musty! There is mold in the bathroom and generally this apartment is not looked after! - The walls and doors had visible stains, floors also had mop stains- porcelain tiles are quite sensitive but no one really took time to clean them properly! - shower floor is dirty and there is hair strands everywhere! The bathroom actually needs a renovation! - We had to cover our bedding with a cloth since the bedding had hair strands all over it 😤- absolutely unhygienic! -nails are sticking out of the wall ! - they use the apartment as a dumpster for broken chairs which are taking up space! - the apartment is worse than it looks on pictures!

We complained all this to the owners, Louise only called me hours later when we had already left the house with the house keys . Since we are on holiday, we have an itinerary with activities booked for our entire stay! Louise was very rude, unprofessional and inconsiderate! We told her that we could only be back home at certain times ( since we pre-booked activities for the entire stay) but she kept calling which was very inconvenient for us to leave wine tasting in Franschoek to attend to “key logistics “! It was even too late to rethink our booking plans! We are just enduring the suffering after paying over R7000 for this horrible place !

We also can’t risk leaving keys for someone to come clean the apartment, we have our stuff in the house and South Africa isn’t the safest of all places to do that. We don’t feel it’s right to just allow a stranger to access our private space.

We told Louise about dirty bedding and she laughed about it ! I sent her pictures to which she cared less! All she wanted was her keys to send the cleaners! This house not only needs cleaning- it needs an overall renovation, repair and repainting.

We regret booking this apartment and we will never do it again !
