Book a Book *****s Your Money & Ghosts Customers.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! Just don't even bother giving them the benefit of the doubt. They are ************. They do not reply to emails and their phone rings off the hook. After a month and a half of having placed my order, several emails trying to follow up on the status thereof, surprise surprise, today I get through on their telephone line and am told "Mam, we never received payment". Ludicrous after providing proof thereof several times, and going out of my own way to follow up on the order but never hearing a single word in reply. Fronting as an e-commerce business and taking total advantage of a consumer. Demanding a full refund - if I even ever see that money come back to me - and I feel absolute rocks exposing this company for what it is. I actually feel sorry for any student who orders books they need for their education through this organisation. I honestly have little faith you will ever see those books. Just an empty bank account and nothing to show for it.

To update:

Case opened with FNB as well as SAPS including Cyber Crime Division. Case opened with CGSO and is given Book a Book 14 days to settle this dispute - that being return my funds.

In addition I have implored their domain registrar who's response has been : "a previous investigation was conducted however their findings indicate that the company just cannot keep up with the demand" - Sadly, This is no excuse for not responding to customer emails. This is no excuse for not picking up the telephone to answer customer enquiries. This is no excuse for false promises of a manager going to call you back. This is no excuse for avoiding reimbur*****t of funds to customers. This is no excuse for not delivering on items customers spend their hard-earned money for.

Book-a-book are blatantly robbing customers. They happily take your money as your order sits in the ether never to be fulfilled. Before you believe the handful of positive reviews amidst the sea of hundreds of unhappy customers - question the legitimacy of a sudden influx of positive reviews all on the same day - a knee-jerk reaction from Bookabook to create positive review to deflect from their disgusting misgivings and the way they run their scandalous operation.

Do not shop from Bookabook. Avoid them at all cost. They will ***** your money mercilessly and the egg will sit on your face as the consumer. Your hands will be tied.

Help me bring book a book to book!

To note, there are two profiles for Bookabook on Hello Peter and the sentiments on both are the same - MANY very unhappy customers who have been ******** out of their money.

If you received an order confirmation email where the content of the email included banking details that were different to those reflected in the attached invoice and have already made payment. Make a special note of which one you in fact paid into but mention both bank accounts when you lodge your case with the bank. They are getting away with it because not enough customers are logging complaints, and then there is the trouble of banking detail discrepancies.

I am collecting data of customers who have been affected, especially those who have opened cases with their banks and the SAPS. I am wanting to consolidate this information for my investigating officer who has already actively been investigating the case since I opened it this week. He is the one who picked up the banking detail discrepancies.

If you want to bring this business down with me I have set up an email address for this cause - please email bringbookabooktobook [at] gmail.com replace the [at] with an @ symbol.

I think together we can get the attention we need to bring Book a Book to book.
