No Customer Care (Book-A-Bakkie)

If you looking for a company in an emergency to transport your goods I urge you to not use Book-a-bakkie.

They have no passion, sincerity or concern about their customers.

We were in a difficult position whereby we needed our belondings to be transported from JHB to CPT. We contacted this company on 30 Nov 2016. We were informed that they could pick up on the 02 Dec 2016 and drop off on 03 Dec 2016. As desperate as were were after being burnt by 2 previous companies that week, we accepted their propsal of R21k. Booking form was signed and proof of payment was sent as per their instruction.

On the day, we were told that the truck was on its way and will be at our house by midday, We called at midday as the truck had not arrived, We were informd the truck will arrive at 13:00.

Still no truck, to which we were then informed that the truck will not be dispatched as our payment was not cleared. Of course it will not be cleared as this is from FNB to Absa.

Nevertheless, not even a call from our bank manager ora plea to send a bank letter was acceptable. I spoke to an unfriendly, completly unapproachable person they call their manager . A woman named Lara Robertson. Our only resolution was to pay R21k again. After much deliberation, we finally accepted to pay again and awaited email confirmation from Lara that we will receive a full refund as soon as they receive our duplicate payment. She never responded, I called, She then blurted our'No'over the phone that she will not do an immediate refund. She also stated that our case was going on for 2 weeks. I was confused as we only called her 2 days ago. She must have had us confused for another case. She then moved on to tell me that they are no longer dispatching any more truck that day and that we had to wait until monday.

All our beds, clothes and necessities that was needed for my family was not going to arrive in CPT the next day, which was the day we were arriving.

We contacted head office who seemed a little more sincere but they to could not to anything until Monday.

My family and I arrived in CPT the next day, We incurred extra expenses and finally received our goods on Tuesday not at 15:00 as promised by this company but at 22:00.

My numerous emails to Tamaryn from head office has gone unnoticed with no reply.

A simple sign of courtesy will go a long way!
