Would not recommend Medscheme!!!

As a member of Bonitas AND a service provider i would NOT RECOMMEND Bonitas or ANY Medscheme medical aid! I’ve been struggling for more than 8 months with an APPROVED PMB pregnancy payment! I have to keep calling 3 times every month just for them to tell me “it’s captured please wait the 20day lead time” comes the 20 days… same story!! ITS APPROVED BMP! JUST PAY AT SCHEME RATES! Its not that difficult!

My own experience! And as a service provider its a struggle to get paid by them when they just decide they don’t feel like paying codes that’s approved by BHF… as a patient this means you will most likely be billed by the medical practitioner for their services!

So to all Medscheme medical aid patients. Note that you pay for a medical aid and may also have to pay co-payments for services they refuse to pay, approved by BHF… again my own experience with Medscheme!

So as a patient and service provider.. I experienced the same issue both ways. They make payments almost impossible for you…
