Worst Medical aid ever Bad service levels and lies

<p>My work requires me to join one of the medical schemes they prescribe. I moved from Topmed to Bonitas from 2017. No advice or exclussions was given to my by their reprsentative. </p> <p> </p> <p>When phoning for pre-auth the first time Ihad to wait 45 minutes just to hear that they do not cover my procedure unless its an emergency. Yhey will request the Dr for motivation and decide about this. This without ever meeting me or examining me. Who makes these decisions? Dr's or agents? If Dr's I want credentials and degrees.</p> <p> </p> <p>Bonitas promised feedback Yesterday 04/05/2017. I heard nothing until the Dr phoned me to tell me Bonitas refusses to do the laraposcopy and he gaurantees that the problem will re-occur. I do not accept this Bonitas **** when I joined them as they never confirmed this with me. I have no contract document stating these exclusions.</p> <p> </p> <p>I had to phone to find out what is happening. I had to wait 30 min on the phone to hear that becuase we are first year joiners all surgical procedures must be approved by the underwriters after we were told by our HR/medical reps that this will not happen.</p> <p> </p> <p>No I hear this procedure is scheme excluded. No one no agents no medical aid no one said this to me. If I remained with Topmed I would have none of these issues. I pay my premium and they take it. I need to add exclusions to my premium as well!!!!! They do not know what a Ombudsman is or Medical Council they have no one who regulates them. That makes sense since they do whatever they want to.</p> <p> </p> <p>We have had issues with them from day one. They refuse to cover my duaghters chronic medication even with Dr motivation.</p> <p> </p> <p>I must suffer now due to them not being able to be upfront with clients. I will not rejoin them and will tell all my constituents to stay away from them. I have direct contact with 1000+ people whom I will redirect to other medical aid options.</p>
