When you wake up from surgery, to find out you not covered

<p>I am so disappointed in you guys, I've never had to do a major medical claim with you guys ever, now I have had a trauma to my knee in November and was operated on early December, while I was under the surgeon had to implant prosthesis, <br />Now I've come to learn that I need to cover the short fall of just over R19700, when questioning I'm told my plan doesn't cover and this is not a PMB, <br />I've appealed and got a letter from the surgeon motivating the procedure, and that's still not good enough</p> <p>On declining the appeal Bonitas let me know I can request for ex gratia payment but now you want me to hand over my 3 months of banking financials ,tax certificates ,pay slips and a break down on what it costs me to live each month, which I think is ridiculous</p> <p>My medical aid saving are completely drained after this operation, I'm having to pay physio out of my own pocket so that I can learn how to walk again, and I also now need to cover all future Medication, and still pay your monthly premiums</p> <p>Just also want it noted that I also had to pay R3000 up front to the hospital because the hospital does not fall under one of your selected hospitals,,,,,,,,,,THE SPECIALIST DOES NOT OPERATE AT ANY OF YOUR SELECTED HOSPITALS</p>
