Waiting period for newborn

I registered a newborn baby within the 30 day period (in fact, to date the 30 days have not lapsed) i received confirmation that the 4 week old baby was registered WITH A WAITING PERIOD OF 3 MONTHS. I beleive the waiting period would usually apply to those who had no medical aid for a certain period of time prior to the registration...but now how do/why should I prove that a NEWBORN should have been registered from the date of birth??? I'm getting tired of Bonitas and it's antics, as this isn't even my first squabble with Bonitas. I am already planning to move to a new medical aid scheme because of the frustration I always endure for a scheme I have been diligently paying (without fail) for over 13 years.
