Trust broken - They just debit without consent

We added my in-laws onto the medical aid and Bonitas deducted almost triple our normal contribution.

When I went to query it, I was told they added late joiner fees, which was not relevant and the additional documents were sent with the sent with the application and somehow, they didn't receive it.

A later joiner fee penalty is something you pay for almost a whole year, so it is not just a "penalty" it is a way for them to suck money out of you at a massive rate.

The fees are also substantially higher then what they advertised.

When all of this was queried, got a response of, just email the documents and we'll look at it, with no time frame. Then when I asked about the other fees, the chat timed out. There was less than a minute difference between his response and mine. Meaning there is no way the chat could have timed out and the agent (Siphiwe) just ran away from answering my queries.

We have been with Bonitas for almost 2 years and I would sing their praises. They had small issues I could live with, but when you take MY ENTIRE SALARY without communicating it prior, then we start running into issues. No one can afford surprise debit orders! We need to provide for our families!
