The worst medical aid

It's been a terrible experience! For the passed 2 weeks I have been back and forth with Bonitas. I am on a plan currently with 0 maternity benefits. I had taken this plan before marriage. Now I am newly married and want to change to a plan that has maternity benefits however I had missed the change of plan period which I wasn't even aware of. I was told to fill in forms and send in a motivational letter that would be subject to review. The motivation must be financial or a medical report. I don't have any of those reasons to change at the moment. First I was told cause it's so near to the closing window I could state in my letter that my reason to change is for maternity reasons and I would most probably have to pay the difference and the plan could start from Feb, I did that and then I get another email asking for financial or medical motivation. I called in again only for the agent to tell me that when I fall pregnant I must send in the report as motivation and then it's subject to review so they can't guarantee my plan would be changed. If it isn't changed I have to wait until November. So if I do fall pregnant now and if my change of plan isn't approved then I'm stuck with a medical aid that has no maternity benefits! This is absolute insanity!
