NOTES SET UP ON THURSDAY THE 25th on into Friday

Dear Dr. Coetzee; A huge thank you to you for the utterly outstanding & thoroughly professional & caring way you conducted your consultations with us this over this very trying time. Because of this, my period in hospital was made all that easier by you. And so too, the attitude of the anesthetist and Greenacres staff [both shifts].------ were absolute stars. I had little or no pain the speak of

Success of this op was entirely your and your team’s triumph [your reception ladies are so caring and smart too]

Yesterday at check-up time you again excelled in delivering a very positive message, explaining clearly & succinctly the way forward. At your suggestion we did go out to lunch to celebrate !

Now to some nitty gritty to mull over;

• At lunch I never wee-ed unconsciously into my pad • After, at home I had an urge to wee & sat down on the loo – was very einah ‘passing water’, but, stopping it, and to re-start, I could control my bladder like normal. • Later in the afternoon, I had a similar action, but not as sore as before • Pad stayed dry all day • So too, right up to bedtime • At sleeping time, the ‘want’ to wee woke me up and I pee-ed into my night bottle • I had a good ‘dry ‘ night • Today I had my first full body shower since the 14th – wonderful I assure you • Notes as of 26th >>>>>>>>>>>>

Evening of 25th;on into Friday; Had a self induced wee in the loo sitting down, at about 17.30 ----------- not painful At bed curfew time of 08.50, I tried to wee, into my bottle, and did

At 13.30 had a body call to wee – did so into my bottle Again at 0645 – the same Pad dry the whole period

I am producing a lot less wee at night than before my op, last night’s count was just over +- 350mm No real pain to pass water any more just a sort of burn after

Early days yet, but things a really looking up, I will keep you in the wee story loop
