Terrible Service - Bonitas Medical Aid

I have advised my daughter who was on our medical aid and was recently permanently employed to join Bonitas after doing some research about their fitting benefits. I was first confronted by an *********** Bonitas broker and thereafter by a worker at their call centre who informed me that the only reason why she was penalized for a three month waiting period was that we did not indicate the cancellation date of her as a beneficiary in our (her parent's medical aid) We immediately request her beneficiary cancellation and submitted to Bonitas this certificate of cancellation. We have requested already on the 20 March 2019 that they should not start deducting her premium but only for it to be affected as from the 01 May 2019 which was blatantly ignored as they continue with deductions already on the 01 April 2019. Enquiries in this regards were referred to their financial department, without any feedback. She also requested that they waver the waiting period of three months because according to their written conditions she qualifies to be exempted from the 3 months waiting period. We have been assured by their call centre clerk that there is nothing in our application form that would warrant her to be subjected to a waiting period except for a confirmation date of membership at our current medical aid. We now have been informed that she has been placed on a waiting period for 3 months and an additional 12 months period for heart disease. She maintained a healthy lifestyle and the only illness she had out of the blue about 3 years ago was a pulmonary embolism. A specialist report was submitted to Bonitas to proof that she is cured and she is without any medication for more than 2 years. The service provided to my daughter as an independent applicant is extremely poor and one gets a rotten smell. We contemplate to search for a better quality service provider but we know that Bonitas will be quick to deduct her premium come 1st May 2019 and we will struggle to get back the premium of 01 April 2019. This is terrible services for medical aid which are rated as one of the top medical aids in the country. Hope we can speak with someone asap who can speak with more authority without bull****ting a prospective long term client.
