Terrible Medical Aid

I want to thank Bonitas for being the absolute worse medical aid ever. You are absolutely not FOR the client...but just out to make money. For months now have we struggled to get payments from you, we have to resubmit claims several times before we get an acknowledgement of receipt, etc. The cherry on top is, that we recently had a baby. What a utter SHAME that the medical aid only paid R3660 for the birth. It is a DISGRACE. Which medical practitioner will do such a big 'operation' for R3660. Now you come with this nonsense of a practitioner not on your list. The epidural was R15000. Just something to think about. How can we live in a free country but we may not even choose our own gynae. The baby was born IN HOSPITAL. Why not cover all of it? I also stayed one night in hospital...saving you almost 21K...hence...you dont want to pay the 8k shortfall on my gynae. There is NO ONE to reason with. No HUMAN to talk to. Every time you give us this **** automated reply about scheme rates and utter NONSENSE. Every human is different with different situations...and you can at least have a option where you can put your situation on the table...if you pay almost 11k a month for your medical aid. We are getting co-payments left and right...even though some drs were in hospital. Every time we have a query we get this **** automated response. I am fed up and tired of getting treated like a number. If I pay that amount of money in a month, I at least want service or answers. I havent even received my maternity baby bag I was promised. I got some useless sms's every week during my pregnancy and a midwife called me ONCE. I am definitely exploring other options. The amount that we pay for medical aid is probably 80% of South African's salaries. What a freaken shame, Bonitas.
