Terrible!!!!
Paid January premium on Dec 22 due to been paid early, 01 Jan 2026, Medical aid suspended, I called the call centre yesterday to have the suspension uplifted, once they finally understood the concept of me paying early for January, they advised they could not uplift the suspension due to short payment of R367.50. Today I paid R360.00 (My Bad) and chatted Bonitas again to uplift suspension, I was told I am still short R7.50 (REALLY). I then did another payment of R10. My premiums are now up to date and Bonitas advised they can only uplift the suspension in 5 days. This is so pathetic, I have sent through the proof of payments and still after chatting they say 5 days. I have a doc appoint and need medication today!!!

So I am back with another complaint, after fighting for two days to get a suspension uplifted because I needed to see the doctor.
I went to see the doctor and got a script, I then went to teh pharmacy to collect and I had to pay cash because Bonitas wont pay for the meds because its not on their Formulary list and I eith have to tell my doctor to prescribe me something that is on the list (nevermind if it doesnt treat my symptoms) or I must pay cash or upgrade my plan. I have been taking Pantacid 40 for a few years now and payinmg cash but now I get a medical aid and I still have to pay cash because Bonitas only has Pantacid 20 on their formulary list. what bull**** is this medical aid!! First its whch doctors you can see, then its which pharmacy you can use, now its what medicine they willing to pay for.
I am definitly looking for a different medical aid cause these guys suck!!
