Suspended while taking monthly contributions
I have been a member of Bonitas Medical fund since 2001 then when I joined another company in 2006 I still joined them. A few years back my son turned 21 but because he is epileptic and in need of medical attention I continued to pay the full contribution on my own without subsidy from my company. I am also being treated for two chronic diseases one of them being high blood pressure which means I need medication daily. My contribution monthly to Bonitas Medical Fund is over R3000 from me alone and my company also adds the subsidiary fees on top of but as off the 1st of March Bonitas decided to suspend my medical aid saying that in 2019 when my son was admitted to hospital the neurologist did not submit enough supporting paperwork so now there is money being owed by me to the medscheme. Needless to point out that the medscheme is the one that responsible for acquiring whatever paperwork they see relevant to process these payments but now I have to pay them for their lack of work. But considering the fact that me and my son have these chronic requirements I requested, infact begged Bonitas Medical fund to make an arrangement which was they will lift the suspension while I pay this money owed in portions over 4 months. I made the 1st payment but they have not lifted the suspension so that means I will still for another month again pay from my own pocket for all this chronic medication needed by myself and my son. Is it fair that this company is pocketing +/-R6000 monthly payments to them while I get ZERO service from them. This is pure evil. I am depressed and frustrated and sick because of the stress this is causing me
