Suspended despite payment

I was moved to Bonitas from Liberty. Not my choice and I had to take a lower rated, network based scheme as the Bonitas plan was a lot more expensive.

Before I joined I was told that their last debit order run is on the 1st. I only get my money after this date and had a debit order for the 5th with Liberty. I called their call centre and was ASSURED I could pay by EFT as long as it was before the 7th - which I have been doing.

I paid for March on the 2nd March. On the 15th, out of the blue, Bonitas decided to try and debit my bank account with nearly R 6000. It was rejected and I was also penalised an additional R 100 by the bank.

Since then I have had numerous emails telling me I am suspended. Today I get an email from them saying it will be automatically suspended by their system if I don't pay on the 1st!!!

Now what??? I cannot change when my money comes in, Bonitas had told me it would be fine before I joined and now I get told that my account will be in a permanent state of suspension every month!!! Surely I am not the only client who needs to pay their contribution after the 1st?

This is terrible customer service, Bonitas. I am out of pocket for bank charges, which I want refunded and I want clarity on how we go forward. I am also not prepared to fight with Bonitas every month to get a suspension lifted.
