Supplementary Benefits appear to be ****

<p>I am so disappointed with Bonitas. On their 2017 Brochure they state that there is “supplementary benefits” Part of their Supplementary benefits are Infant paediatric benefit where a child between ages 1 and 2 can have 2 consultations with a pediatrician that will not be deducted from your day to day benefits, and at the bottom of the brochure it stands in fine print that all benefits and limits are per CALENDAR year. So my child( Turning 2 on 16 April 2017) went to see the paediatrician on 12 January 2017 and they deducted this from my Day to Day limit. When I questioned this they said that the already used her two consultations in 2016. So as far as my knowledge goes a calendar year is from 01 January to 31 December. So I guess these supplementary benefits are ****?? Because how can you “advertise” Supplementary benefits but as soon as you used it in one calendar year it is not relevant for the next calendar years? So then I will not be able to use any of these Supplementary benefits because my family had Flu vaccines in 2016 so they are not entitled to more vaccines anymore and my son (now turning 8) will not have any GP consultations as per the supplementary benefits left as he probably used that in 2016 as well? Well if this is the case then if means that these brochures that are issued EVERY YEAR for EVERY YEAR’s BENEFITS are ********** because they not relevant for every year. This is really pathetic, I always recommended Bonitas to all my family and friend because I never had any problems with them, and the support and assistance where excellent. But this is really unacceptable. You cannot advertise something and not keep up your end of the bargain, I pay more than R7000 per month on my Standard plan and all I ask is that I get what was promised to me in this brochure under supplementary benefits. I went through all sceme rules and nowhere does it state anything other than this brochure</p>
