STAFF INCOMPETENCE
Bonitas medical aid is the worst medical aid ever. The level of competency in pathetic. I have never in all my years came across such incompetence. I have had several occasions whereby Iwas forced to get the Medical Council of South Africa to intervene . My latest complaint is that it's taking them more than 2 months to process my chronic medication whereby I have submitted all supporting documentation to them on several occasions. I have also send through 7 emails for the same query and made several calls with no luck. Bonitas has still not processed my paperwork to date and my chronic medication was due a week ago. This has now become a matter of life or death.

Again today I received feedback requesting the exact same info my medical aid consultant emailed to them yesterday and copied me to the mail. There is absolutely no valid reason why my Biologic medication has not yet been processed other that the hope that I would die in the process. My medication that keeps me alive is now 5 days late. I pray I love to see next week. This is totally unacceptable. DON' EVER JOIN THIS MEDICAL AID YOU WILL BE DEAD BEFORE YOU GET ANY ASSISTANCE. THEY DO NOT REALIZE THAT THE YARE DEALING WITH PATIENT LIVES. Just as long as they collect our premiums.
