Spitting on the little guys since 1982

<p>I have been with Bonitas for about 10 years. I have paid them well over R200k over this period. I have hardly ever been to the doctor and have never slept at the hospital. I recently needed emergency medical attention which came to about R1800.00, out of this amount I have had to pay about R1000.00, meaning that they have paid less than half for this emergency. This is highly unacceptable. I should have just saved my money and taken out a hospital plan instead, I would have had about R200k minus the R30k (estimated amount from doctor's visits over the last decade) = R170k.</p> <p> </p> <p>This is ludicrous that they can treat people this way and then also still raise my premiums by 20% per annum. I am going to start looking at other medical aid schemes as it seems that Bonitas only cares about money they make and not the clients that give them this money. How is it that they cannot even give 15% of my premium back in doctors claims ? I am sick of struggling with guys that think they can spit on the little guy. All they care about is money in their pockets, acquiring other schemes and not much else.</p> <p> </p> <p>I bet I will not even get a response to this issue, why ? because they have already made their money out of me. They advertise paying out up to 93% of claims, please correct this as I have clearly only been paid out about 20% of mine, and this with R3.3bn in reserves, HA reserves for what, C level bonuses. This is a joke. I used to actually and promote like these guys to my friends.</p> <p> </p>
