Short payment of medical bills

I recieved treatment for cancer in 2014. I had a mastectomy and reconstruction on 11 August 2014. The medical aid only paid a small percentage of the plastic surgery. Also radiology, ultrasound, and pathology acounts were paid from day to day benefit, even though ICD code for cancer was submitted. Cancer being registered as a <br> PMB desease. M y query to Bonitas was regarding the surgery bill. I have been corresponding with the [Email Removed] with very little to no result. I have submitted reports they requested in order for PMB board to make a decision regarding this account, and have even enquired about ex Gratia. I have made calls and submitted emails throughout the last year. The last email being 20 working days ago - no response even though Bonitas commit to a response time of 5 to 10 days. I need follow up surgery that had to be delayed due to this. The accounts of radiology, ultrasound and pathology I've started paying as I was handed over to attorneys as being defaulting on payments. Fighting cancer is traumatic in and of itself. I cannot begin to describe the emotional trauma of having to deal with service providers such as these, and having necessary care delayed.
