Service, what service. From good to bad in record time!

In October 2016 I cancelled my medical aid with Bonitas after over 9 yrs. I had been retrenched some time earlier and continued the policy in my personal capacity because I was happy with their service but this quickly changed. When I found employment, I was obligated to move onto my employers medical scheme in order to be entitled to the benefits provided by the company. My Bonitas cover ended 30/11/16. I proceeded to inquired regarding my savings refund and was sent a form and told to return it with a bank statement as proof of banking details. The gent said that it would take about 4 days for the refund to be processed. I returned same to the 2 email addresses given. I got electronic confirmations of receipt. I later emailed to confirm all was in order - no answer. At least 5 email 6 calls and over 3.5hrs of call time later I was told by various call consultants, first that it would take a month, then 3 months, then 4 months and then that it would be in my account either Tuesday of Thursday April 2017. When calling the Thursday I was told the payment was rejected by accounts because I have medical aid with a savings facility and the funds need to be transferred to them. At no time during any of the times that I spoke to Bonitas was this mentioned. In the meantime, I've bourn costs of treatments & medication not covered because I only have one month’s savings in 2016 on my new scheme. Bonitas had the audacity to tell me I didn't give them all relevant documents as they need a certificate of medical aid. Their supervisor even accused me of not disclosing my ne medical aid but then retacted this as she read the content of my correspondence. Why was this not disclosed by the 6 customer service agents (or should I say NON SERVICE AGENTS) or in response to my NUMEROUS emails. They wait 5 and a half months to tell me this. Not acceptable! I have been prejudiced by their lack of regard for me as a client. They haven’t even had the decency to apologise properly. Surely this is not allowed. How did the service go from good to non-existent – is it that I am no longer a priority as my business is no longer with them? This is ridiculous!
