Scheme rates are below what doctors charge
Had a Hysteroscopy and D&G procedure with my trusted obgynae on the 17th of May 2023 which I had preapproved with Bonitas prior to the procedure. To my dismay I received a billing statement from Bonitas that confirmed that the Bonitas scheme rate for the procedure is 907.30 and the actual cost from my doctor and other trusted doctors within the Johannesburg area cost R8327.50. This is an R7420.20 difference that I'm expected to fork out.
I wouldn't recommend this medical aid at all.
