Resolved after 8 months and 4 days
The account was eventually paid by Bonitas - only after 8 months, and me phoning every week to follow up.

14 Nov 2023, 15:30A claim was lodged on 24 January 2023 with the necessary letter from Boncap approving the angiogram before it was done. The payment of the claim was queried on a weekly basis since MARCH. I was told there is a system error, that PHA declined it, various times (more than20) that it was either escalated to a team member and to PHA. There is no communication from Boncap/Bonitas to the member except the standard reply/notification that the claim has been submitted, and then declined. It is important to note that Boncap approved the procedure, conveyed to me that full payment was due on it, but PHA kept on declining the claim. On 6 September the claim was eventually paid in full. NOTE the date of the claim and when it was paid. And that I followed up more than 30 times. The time wasted on this matter is ridiculous. On 14 November I received an email from Bonitas that wants to resolve the matter after my Hello Peter complaint. This email was also sent from a no-reply email address. If you cannot email directly where we can correspond on the matter, then dont. I have used/wasted more than enough time to resolve the matter eventually. I do not need Boncap/Bonitas to "resolve" the matter 9 months later, its done and paid in full by Bonitas.
My issue with this matter is that Boncap/Bonitas will do this to many elderly members that will accept the outcome, even though their claims should be paid. Members who do not have the funds to pay the service provider and would not have done the procedure is it was not approved upfront. Members who have been paying or 20 years, but still get the treatment as described above.
