Pulling your tooth is possibly covered, not saving it!!!

To say I am disappointed in this medical fund is putting things very lightly. My daughter needs to have a procedure done, Surgical exposure of impacted tooth. 1 tooth. Nope the medical aid doesn't cover General Anesthesia for this procedure. They only cover General Anesthesia is for the removal of impacted teeth subject to pre-authorization. So no, let's not save your tooth. We will only pay for the removal of it. A 15-year-old girl must walk around with a big gap in her mouth. I'm sure that will help her self-confidence and mental health. I do not understand how this whole mentality works. We won't save your tooth. Let's rather just remove it. That we could possibly pay for. But then when it comes to putting an implant in her mouth where this huge gap will now be, I bet they will come up with some other excuse not to pay. And the only reason we asked for General Anesthesia is because the Doctor literally has to break through BONE!!!!!! Bonitas is all about mental health, but they don't understand they are causing mental health issues. The trauma my daughter will have to go through having this procedure in the chair... her self-confidence, her mental health about this huge gap in her mouth... that's not taken into consideration. DISSAPOINTED BEYOND WORDS.
