POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL LEVELS
I Joined Bonitas medical aid scheme on the 1 November 2015 officially but i filled in my application form in September and my membership was approved on the 1 October 2015 where they sent me the membership certificate which had no waiting period imposed on any of my dependant.

during the month of November i took my son for his normal checkup and the doctor discovered that he had Hernia and referred us to the Oncology hospital in pretoria where the doctor advised us on an operation. we requested authorisation from the medical aid which they decline citing that he had the condition before he joined the medical aid which is in fact an assumption on their side because we provided the letter from the referring doctor and the Oncology doctor as well.

Also before this condition, the medical aid worked fine because we used it few times to even buy medication and consult and the medical aid paid, but since the decline of the operation, we can't even get him flu medication because when we go to the pharmacy we are told the condition (flu in this case) was before the medical aid effective date. I have called Bonitas and sent them emails this entire week without any positive response.
