Paying for something that is covered "AMBULANCE"

I have the Bonitas primary option and pay +-2000 per month thinking it is the best option for me as I am covered. On the 19th of July I was awoken by sharp pains on my left hand side, and was also vomiting. When my mother called the ER she was advised to leave me in a suitable position until they got there. We all didn’t know what was wrong they had to do X-rays to see if there is anything wrong.

Forward this to a couple of weeks I get a bill from ER of 1724.00. Stating that the medical aid does not want to pay…………. From what am aware of ambulance is covered, what makes me different from all the clients that have used the ambulance. If there is a criteria for who is covered under the ambulance may I kindly have it
