Pay my consultations in full

Bonitas claims to be contracted to healthcare providers but they barely pay a portion of that rate, so whats the point?

I am pregnant, giving birth any day now but I keep paying out of pocket for my consultations because the useless maternity benefit barely covers anything.

My midwife’s rate is so low and Bon Essential won’t even cover 50% of that rate? I went to see a gynae for my 36 weeks appointment and Bonitas only paid 23% of the bill!!

What’s the point of the maternity benefit cover? If I am paying so much over and above because Bonitas is a cheapskate?

R650 for a consultation is not a lot. You’re leaving me with so many bills to pay like I don’t pay my medical aid every month.
