PATHETIC AND A NIGHTMARE

HI, I am one of the Liberty members that changed over to Bonitas,Bonitas is a night mare don’t ever join them, You have to follow up on everything they don’t do anything if you don’t phone them, My husband was in ICU Sunward park form 20-02-17 to 24-02-17 and the doctor changed his insulin to RYZODEG we went to Dischem on the 24-02-17 and dischem faxed the Script to Bonitas on Monday the 27-02-17 I phoned bonitas to find out about the Ryzodeg if it was approved on Chronic , Diabetes is a chronic condition, they said they did not receive it, I emailed it to ********** got back an email with query number is : 280217Q5JBRT. and that it takes 5 working days for chronic medicine to be registered and when I phoned bonitas and told them we can’t wait that long nobody told me that i can register it on the phone , we took cash and bought the insulin on the 01-03-2017 , as my husband can’t go without insulin he will die, I sent a claim to bonitas 10-03-2017 when I contacted bonitas on 03-04-2017 as claims take 15 working days to process for one or another reason, they said that I did not include the statement could nobody phone or email and say Hi we need the statement no i must smell that and as far as I know dischem sends the statements to Bonitas, Got a sms today saying that R27.00 of the claim will be paid , so I phoned bonitas to find out why only R27 what is happening to the R1000 they said that because we purchase the insulin before it was approved on chronic they will not be paying it even though I sent an email with the script and phoned the medical aid on the 28-02-2017 so my husband basically my husband should have died and waited 5 days for the insulin to be approved, REF NO 120417Q7HK29

I will looking for a new medical, never had any issues with liberty truly sad that they had to go with bonitas

Bonitas is nightmare

And to top it of the Insulin that my husband uses cost R1000 but the medical aid only pays R600 40% co-payment and because its not the type of insulin they prefer hes old insulin was R2000 so basically where saving the medical aid money but they only pay R600 because that’s how it work I guess
