Out of all of the bad medical aids, Bonitas is possibly the worst

I don't even know where to begin on this useless medical aid.

I have had unbroken cover for decades but I couldn't get membership certificates for two of the companies. One was the JHB City Council in the very early nineties and the other was Oxygen when I worked for Nedbank. I provided an affidavit stating that I could not obtain membership certificates from these two entities and provided proof of my efforts to obtain same. I even sent this to the useless broker at Tenda Health as well. Bonitas loaded my premium with I am assuming a break in cover even though I didn't have it. I have sent emails to both the broker at Tenda and to Bonitas and to this day (nearly three months later) I still have no response for why this was done.

Added to this, Bonitas do not pay claims when you need to be tested for Covid when you are exposed to a confirmed Covid case, neither do they pay for x-rays when you are involved in a serious motor vehicle accident that results in your car being written off and injury to your neck and spine.

If you're looking to change a medical aid, move past Bonitas very quickly. Do not even engage with them. Their brokerage firm, Tenda Health, is pathetic and so are Bonitas.
