Optometric benefits are misleading

On the Bonitas standard plan. Under optometry. It says you get multi vision lenses @100% And R700 if not from network per lenses. (sorry I don't speak medical aid) what they forget to tell you is that you must be 40 and over to qualify for this!!! So you are *****ed if you are 27 and need multi vision lenses. IF YOU LOOKING FOR A MEDICAL AID DON'T GET BONITAS.

Your brochure says that multi focal lenses are covered 100% and R700 out of network. Now to my surprise I had to call isoloses (don't know how to spell it) and they told me I need to be 40 years old and over. And I need a motivational letter from the optometrist. And the process would take a month or two to get approved because it has to go get assessed (whatever). First of all. You are misleading in your advertising because in the brochure there is no mention of an age criteria anywhere. All other things in the brochure does say age criteria. So if I specifically took the medical aid just looking at that piece of information than I would be led into paying for a medical that won't cover the one thing I wanted. Which according to the customer protection act is misleading adverti*****t. Secondly. Why does my multi focal lenses need approval? If I got a dam eye test.. a whole doctor who specialises in eyes.. says I need these lenses. Now I need to wait 2 months for my glasses that I need because ???????????. It's really unacceptable. Why let us go get an eye test if already know what's good for my eyes? I am beyond livid. Thanks.
