NOTHING IS EVER COVERED UNDER THE SCHEME

Firstly we got authorization for a hip replacement operation. This was covered in hospital but under no circumstances would they cover the prosthesis for this operation as according to the rules of the fund there was no benefit for this.<br> I then checked her plan and the below benefit is available, R13 500 per family for alternatives to hospitalisation such as nursing and out-patient therapy. So I called the pre authorization department to enquire if after the hip replacement I could get nursing care for my mom and it was confirmed that I definitely could and was given the details of what I needed to send through. Which I did. I have now been told that again According to the rules of the fund nursing care can only be provided if there was a complication during the operation. No where does it state this and I had enquired about this before. This plan is totally pathetic and nothing is ever covered because the rules of the fund don't allow for it.<br> I will advise all who are with bonitas to leave and will be doing so myself as this medical aid is totally useless. I will also take this up with our company and who do use Bonitas to rather change medical aids!! Shocking service!!!!
