Not paying outstanding claims
I have been struggling to get Bonitas to pay an outstanding claims for almost 3 months now. The have excuse after excuse and literally take weeks between answers. It bas been 3 weeks again after they promised to resolve the issue and pay the outstanding claims within 10 days, without any feedback. The only only answer I get from the call center is that it is being processed by the PMB department and they can't give me an update. The providers' accounts are almost 3 months behind, and I am liable for this until Bonitas pay them the money that they owe them. This is the worst service I have ever had from any company!

05 Jul 2024, 08:56I received the "generic" response from Bonitas where they say that they require a partogram document to be able to finalise the claim (AFTER 3 MONTHS!). Both the doctor and hospital told me that they don't need to do a partogram (especially in an emergency) and that they don't have a partogram. After weeks of emails and phone calls, I still can't get an answer of what to do next and how to process the claim without the document that Bonitas is insisting on.
As it currently stands, I am threatened by legal action from the providers for the outstanding Bonitas payments. Bonitas is still refusing to pay for any of the emergency costs involved in having an emergency c-section (which is a massive amount), even though my baby's heart beat was dangerously low and the hospital confirmed that a c-section is the only solution.
Bonitas clearly would have preferred my baby to die.
