No Payments for PMB!!!!

<p>Please don't expect Bonitas to fully cover an emergency situation. My son was admitted in December 2016 for severe dehydration. The Dr at that time was not on the network list (we did not know this at the time). January we receive an account from the Dr saying we owe them money. I did raise this with Bonitas as I was informed by my Medical Gap Cover and by the Dr that my son's condition was, in fact, part of a prescribed minimum benefit and that Medical aids are supposed to cover this in FULL!!!! </p> <p>Beware - this is not the case with BONITAS!!!!</p> <p> </p> <p>I did raise this matter - a small portion was paid extra to the Dr - I am still in debt with the Doctor (and this after I went on Maternity leave and just returned back to work - obviously no extra cash around) Now I wonder WHY do I even bother to pay a medical aid if they don't cover emergencies???</p> <p> </p> <p>So even if you stand in the Emergency room, bleeding to death - DO NOT let a Dr touch you that does not form part of their list (Even if this is the ONLY Dr available - rather just stand there and bleed out because you will pay the bill)</p> <p> </p> <p>I have raised this many times - no conclusion </p>
