No cover for pregnancy due to medical aid advice given

<p>I contacted Bonitas in April to move to a more comprehensive plan to cover a new progranancy. I was contacted by their appointed broker (Tendahealth) who advised me that my pregnancy would be covered if I move. </p> <p> </p> <p>When I received the medical aid certificate, I noted an exclusion until 2018, which was not discussed at all, which meant that the costs of my pregnancy and delivery would not be covered. I sent several emails to the consultant and eventually received a call back. He advised me that I needed to termitate my cover with the current medical aid provider (a reputable one) in order to for him to be able to remove the exlusion/limitation. After confirming cancellation, the exclusion has not been removed, I am currently without medial aid and my pregnancy and delivery are not covered by anyone. </p> <p> </p> <p>I have not had a response to my complaint in over a week and this is purely the fault of Bonitas and its brokerage. I need full cover for my pregancy effective as discussed originally.</p> <p> </p> <p>It is completely unacceptable that Bonitas has unqualified consultants giving advice on such critical matters and that they have made no attempts whatseover to rectify the issue.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
