No cover for a fall and fractured knee.

I don't know what to do. My dad fell and fractured his knee. I get a call from the hospital that if the do surgery on my dad's knee we will need to pay out of our pocket. We try to give our parents the best possible care and this is the first time we claimed. Now I'm thinking I need to take my dad out the private hospital and take him to a public hospital. I can't believe we pay for medical aid to get peace of mind our loved ones will get the best care. I am shattered right now.
