My wife gets excluded from a Mammogram based on her age after confirming that its covered.

My wife had to go for a mammogram with a referral from our GP. I called Bonitas to confirm that we have the benefit of a Mammogram. They confirmed, they have now taken it from our day-to-day benefit and says that my wife is under the age of qualifying for the Mammogram benefit.

I find it very disconcerting that Medical aid can just exclude you for a benefit based on your age. This further goes against the regulation of the medical aid ombudsman guidelines.
