My death is on Bonitas.

Dear Bonitas. I have been a loyal member of your scheme for 18yrs standard option will be 19yrs in March, contributing over R4000 a month now. However the more i contribute the less i benefit in recent times. I was admitted for major depression in Dec'21 in one of joburg private hospitals. I am known to your DBC programme for chronic pain of which the 2nd protocol was not approved by Bonitas in Nov'21 for pain management. Now i was in the mental health ward in Dec'21 and presented with worsening pain which limited some of my activities in the ward. Referred for the physiothe****** to come see me in the ward for pain management, poor lady came and told me Bonitas has not approved for her services as i was not admitted for pain. Specialist Ortho Dr referred me for radiology whilst still in the ward to investigate the cause of pain, as it was concerning to other members of the MDT. Now i have a bill emailed to me amounting to R1924 from the hospital radiology dept which Bonitas did not cover. I am not prepared to understand Bonitas's side of the story for not paying the claim as i am agitated, i feel a pending manic episode. I did the xrays whilst still admitted in hospital, my medical insurance option has no limitation for in-hospital cover. The very chronic pain is contributing to my depression. I am owing close to R5000 for medical investigations that were not covered by the scheme in 2021 that i need to settle from my purse. And why is everything put in one basket called day to day benefit which is R6000 this year for specialists consultations, investigations and procedures. This is a *******. Bonitas knows that the service providers will take me to legal dept should i fail to settle their accounts. I do not have the R1924 to pay for xrays done whilst i was still in hospital in Dec. I am prepared to pay with my life to avoid legal penalties from the hospital. If i die i will be free from pain and debts from shortpays from Bonitas. I cannot be mad, owing and in pain at the same time. Amen.
