Medical aid Benifits

I just want to say in the beginning we wanted to cancel Bonita's Because they are some how not what we expected.. and i know it's always easy to say the medical aid is not worth your money because you pay a lot and still you need to pay in at the end of the day and the list go on.. But what i realized know was that with nitty gritty stuff over the counter they don't care a lot to cover the medicine , But what i'm thankful off is we have our Primary option for 1 year and 6 months.. 1 month later since we started the medical aid i found out i was pregnant, but the medical aid covered all my cost from doctors visits etc , i do admit we did pay a lot of money out our own pocket as well because bonitas did not cover but if i compare the amount we paid and the cost bonitas covered is a huge difference... They covered my labor in January my son was sick for more than 4 months now and we are in and out the hospitals and as you know private hospitals try to get every last cents out of you , my baby was admitted in hospital in April for 4 days bonitas covered what they could, two weeks ago my son was admitted again and bonitas covered everything , all the tests cost a **** lot of money., now my baby has Asthma and we got a plan to cover his medication.. if i could count up all the costs and expenses i would have never survive the costs out of my own pocket at once and neither would i have survived in a state hospital... I know it's a lot of money all of us contributed to our medical aids every month but just think about if something bad happens to you, and you need to go for surgery or something major , medical aid will cover.. i have learned now that i feel so foolish complaining about the over the counter medicine my medical aid never covered ... because now i'm so thankful for my medical in our times of need.. thank you Bonitas
