NEVER sign up for cover with Bonitas Medical Fund. We did for 2 months and I have had the WORST experience. They debited more than what was owed BOTH MONTHS, **** to me three times about reimbur*****t on the phone and forced me to stay with them an extra month as notice - while still in the first 3 months of cover. Plus, for the extra month they took more (again) than what was owed! After demanding that my membership be cancelled and it was not, I called yet again to cancel. After Bonitas then owing me over R3000 at this stage they inform me it has been reimbursed and I need to liaise with FNB. Which turned out to be false! The next time I called them after being put on hold for 46 minutes I was told I cannot speak to a supervisor. The final time I called I waited around 20 minutes for the supervisor only to be told that the money owed to me has been used as credit for January and was never refunded - obviously. That's just the tip of the iceberg of issues I had with them so please trust me and go for literally any one else.
