Leaving my previous medical aid for Bonitas who is supposedly one of the best Medical Aids, I am starting to doubt my descision

I went to see a Neurosurgeon regarding pain that radiates from my back down to my feet. The Surgeon did a physical exam and proposed that I go for X-Rays and an MRI. Unfortunately the hospital I went to, or am currently admitted to, does not fall under the DSP of Bonitas. I was told that the hospital I can go to, don't have any beds available. I had a 3 month waiting period which ended on 1 October and I am aware that I am not on the fund for 12 months yet, nobody explained to me in anyway that I am not allowed to go for MRI Scans or X-Rays, not Bonitas, nor the (sorry for the Afrikaans) Makelaar who sold the Medical Aid to me informed me that I have to wait 6 months before I can go to Hospital or for Scans. The condition I have at the moment is not a pre-existing condition that I haven't informed my Medical Aid about. This has nothing to do with the Spinal Fusion I had in 2019. The huge problem for me at the moment is that I have received an Email from the scheme which says the MRI have been approved, I just have to pay a co-payment of R1500. (I have received the email twice from Bonitas) The staff at MRI calls me and tells me that there is a chance that Bonitas may not pay and I have to pay R15000 plus R1500 if they do not pay. My whole body is in pain and I cannot function properly, my left leg sometimes gives way underneath me. WHAT NOW BONITAS? PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME, WILL THAT MRI BE PAID OR NOT IN ORDER FOR THE NEUROSURGEON TO SEE WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME OR DO I JUST LEAVE IT AND BECOME PARALYZED ALONG THE WAY WHILST YOU AND THE STAFF OF MRI DECIDE IF YOU ARE GOING TO PAY OR NOT. UNFORTUNATELY NOT EVERYONE HAS R16500 LAYING AROUND IN THIS TIME OF THE COVID PANDEMIC AND FOOD PRICES ARE SO HIGH THAT YOU CANNOT AFFORD IT. PLEASE GIVE ME AN ANSWER TODAY SO THAT I CAN DISCHARGE MYSELF TODAY. No one is thinking about a member as a person, but rather a ***gy bank
