*********** BONITAS JEOPARDISES URGENT TREATMENT
Without going into details Bonitas was contacted with a motivation from a Neurologist for admission and INITIAL MANAGEMENT of a newly diagnosed patient . Urgent treatment is necessary and requires hospitalisation and IV administration of medication over 5 days. The Bonitas administrators appear not to understand the process of INITIAL MANAGEMENT and ask for a chronic application which is expected to be declined as the condition is not covered. However, the initial management is covered but the process and administrators do not correctly address this. As such the patient who is already under duress which is very bad for this condition is further stressed with no avenue for discussion with a MANAGER. This and a complaint to the Council of Medical Schemes is the only way of getting an appropriate Bonitas employee to call the patient in order to address the matter.
